Great composition! I also like the way the flashlight is hitting the ground and being used as a prop for more intense lighting. Have you considered really darkening everything else and playing up the lighting in a more extreme manner?

originally I had it pretty dark, but I thought it was obscuring too much of in the image and reduced the shadows. I have thought about going in and adding some small cast shows on the figures just where the beam of light hit though…
